Monthly Marvels: Honoring Women's Resilience in Menstruation

 Hello everyone,

I hope you're all doing well. It's been quite some time since I last had the chance to connect with you through a blog post.

Today, I'm here with a topic that's often brushed aside but is incredibly important: Menstruation.

For those who may not be familiar, menstruation is a perfectly natural biological process that occurs every month in the lives of girls and women. It involves a period of bleeding that typically lasts for 5 to 7 days. However, it's more than just bleeding; it encompasses a range of physical and emotional experiences.

So why am I choosing to talk about menstruation today? Because it's crucial to break the silence and stigma surrounding it. Let's start by discussing the days leading up to menstruation, known as the premenstrual phase. During this time, many girls and women experience emotional ups and downs, mood swings, and discomfort.

In my own experience, the premenstrual phase can be particularly challenging. Feelings of loneliness and sadness often creep in, making it difficult to find joy in daily activities. There are many nights when I find myself unable to sleep due to overwhelming mood swings and sadness. In situations like these, I just cry my heart out until exhaustion takes over and allows me to finally rest.

Mornings during this menstruation phase can be especially tough, with discomfort and painful cramps making it hard to muster the energy to do anything. Despite the pain, there are still responsibilities and commitments to fulfill. I recently had to push through the discomfort to work on a project, but sitting at my desk with cramps and mood swings was not at all easy.

Everywhere, women never stop working in any situation. Just look at your mother. Do they not make meals for you? Do your teachers ever take a break? Absolutely not.

In this time sometimes even a woman has to give exams, have to attend meetings. Being so strong as she is they always keep on working without letting anyone get it.

I'm simply sharing the experience of what many women go through every month. It's not easy, but we persevere.

To all the men reading this, I urge you to understand the significance of your words and actions during this time. Your warmth, respect, and generosity can make a world of difference to a woman experiencing menstrual discomfort. Please be mindful of how you speak to and treat women, especially during this vulnerable time. Just your humble behavior can make her feel so comfortable and happy.

In conclusion, I want to salute all the incredible women out there. You all are so strong, resilient, and deserving of recognition for everything you endure. And to the men, remember that a kind and understanding demeanor can make all the difference to a woman in need.

Let's work together to create a world where menstruation is no longer taboo, but instead, openly discussed and supported.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog😇😇

  2. It's indeed a very serious issue Divya. As a son, brother, husband, student, colleague I've sensed the pain and discomfort women pass through during this cycle. As you suggested men have to be more sensitive and helpful to the women during this time. Thanks for writing this post Divya!
